⚠ RAP Replaces SAVE — New Borrower Default (July 1, 2026) Under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA 2025), the SAVE plan ended and was replaced by the Repayment Assistance Plan (RAP) effective July 1, 2026. New Direct Loan borrowers default to RAP — not the Standard Plan. RAP parameters: 1–10% of AGI (income-based scale), $10/month floor, 30-year forgiveness, qualifies for PSLF. This tool models Standard, Graduated, Extended, IBR, PAYE, ICR, and RAP (PSLF tab). For full RAP vs. Standard comparison use the RAP vs. Standard Decision Engine (AL-96, coming soon).
