Medicare Out-of-Pocket Exposure Modeler
Medicare pays most of the bill, but the part it does not pay has no annual ceiling on the medical side unless you carry a supplement or an Advantage plan. This modeler walks a year of utilization through the actual 2026 cost-sharing rules, benefit period by benefit period, and shows what a routine year, a rough year, and a worst-case year each cost you.

This coverage structure has no annual ceiling on the medical side. A single bad year can cost far more than the figures below, with no cap to stop it.
Modeled inpatient days exceed 150 in a benefit period. Lifetime reserve days are exhausted, and days beyond the reserve are the patient's full responsibility with no Medicare payment at all.
Skilled nursing days beyond 100 in a benefit period are not covered by Medicare at all. Chargeable days are capped at 80 in the coinsurance calculation; days beyond 100 cost the full daily rate and are not reflected in the figure below.
The Advantage maximum out-of-pocket was entered as $0 or left blank, which is not a real MOOP value. Treating it as not entered; medical exposure is shown uncapped.
