Sensor Reading Plausibility

A published environmental figure is an average of readings nobody outside the operator has seen. Enter the readings, and this page recomputes the average in integer arithmetic, counts the readings that sit outside the sensor's stated range, and checks the recomputed figure against the one that was published. If the published number does not fall out of the readings, the page says so.

Scope. This checks arithmetic and range, nothing else. It cannot tell you whether a sensor was calibrated, whether readings were dropped before they reached you, or whether the device reporting them is the device it claims to be.

One integer per line in thousandths of the unit. A reading of 12.4 is 12400. Non-numeric lines are counted as malformed.
