Once an asset leaves the newsroom, the only durable question is whether it still matches what was captured. Enter the capture manifest fields, the ordered edits applied since, and the provenance digest recorded at capture, and this tool recomputes the digest at each stage and tells you where the asset stopped matching. Re-running the same manifest reproduces the same digests and the same hash.
