Content Provenance Stamp

Paste the same content into both boxes below, then change whitespace or casing in the second one, and this page shows why provenance systems carry two different kinds of identifier. An exact identifier changes the instant a single byte does. A similarity signal survives whitespace and casing changes but still says nothing about meaning. Both are useful, and neither is the other.

Naming. A production content-provenance stamp identifies exact bytes with an IPFS CID and identifies similar content with an ISCC code, computed on the AINumbers server. Both are heavyweight, specified algorithms that are not re-derived here. This page demonstrates the same exact-versus-similarity idea using its own local fingerprints only, which is why it's titled "Content Provenance Stamp" rather than naming those two standards directly.
