Commit and Reveal Dice

In a play-by-post game there is nobody holding the dice. Commit and reveal fixes that. A player publishes a commitment first, then reveals the secret behind it, and anyone can recompute the commitment to confirm nothing changed after the outcome was known. Enter a commitment and a reveal here, and this page recomputes the commitment and derives the roll deterministically from the revealed values.

The commitment here is a fingerprint, not a cryptographic commitment scheme with hiding guarantees, and player identity is self-asserted. It demonstrates the commit and reveal shape, not a production randomness beacon. Try changing one character of the revealed secret and watch the commitment fail.
